The Dutchman

Madison just finished her second season of soccer with the Dutchman!! (Not sure what a Dutchman is really.) She was very excited about her trophy and the spinning soccer ball on it.

The whole team

With her BFF, Molly

As we walked to the car after the last game she asked, "Does this mean I'm good?" Of course I answered yes. Is she the star of the team? Well, maybe not. Madison is just too girly for soccer, yes you can blame me. She skips around the field, runs on her tippy toes and cries an average of three times per game. She did make a goal this season, an improvement from last season, and tries every week. That is all I can ask from a 4 year old. She loves her teammates and looks forward to Saturday morning games.

Since this is an indoor year round league, we'll start another season in two weeks. Maybe next season she'll score 2 goals. Baby steps people!

The Poopy Dog

Ever since Madison saw her cousin's Littlest Pet Shop last November she has become quite obcessed with those cute little pets. She received her own pet shop from Santa and from then on, the weekly trips to Target began. Madison gets a pet each week if she behaves every day. One hour of naughtiness = no pet for the week. Yes, we know this is bribing but it works!!! She spends hours on end making her pets talk and creating little personalities for them. The latest addition is her "Poopy Dog". Her Daddy actually picked him out- go figure!

Why Hasbro would include fake plastic poop as an accesory is beyond me. Next on her list is the skunk, it comes with a trash can which is now needed for the poop.

Teeth Teeth Teeth!!!

My little late teether finally got 2 more teeth in this weekend. Emma's teeth seem to come in pairs. She now has a total of four, two up top and two bottom teeth. Thankfully Emma is a good teether. She's fussy for a day then she's fine. Well,so far, we'll see how it goes once her molars come in.

In other news, Emma came down with her second round of croup this week. My poor girl, she looks so pitiful when she's sick. She's not her usual cheerful little self. Her eyes get all droopy and just wants to be held all day.

Mom, Emma is looking at me!!

This morning as I was dropping the girls off at my aunt's all I could hear was Madison yelling at Emma, "Stop looking at me! You're creeping me out Emma! Mom, Emma is looking at me! She's not giving me privacy"

It just so happens that I read a friend's blog yesterday describing a very similar car ride with her two girls.

Now, I expected this to happen eventually but not so soon. Let the bickering begin!!
